Regular CDs and Rates: Barclays has nine CD options: 3-month, 6-month, 9-month, 12-month, 18-month, 24-month, 36-month, 48-month, and 60-month. Yields range from 0.10% APY on the 3-month CD to 0.25% APY on the 12-month, 18-month, and 24-month products. The rate of 2.45% is 1.25% higher than the average 1.2%. Also it is 0.15% lower than the highest rate 2.60 Updated Aug, 2019.

• Barclays Bank is offering a 12-Month Certificate of Deposit with a 1.75% APY CD Rate. This is a limited time offer and is quite competitive. Deposit $0.01 and earn a very nice rate. Consider opening an account!
• It's now on top for internet banks, tied with CIT Bank's 5-year CD (but this CIT Bank rate requires a $100K minimum deposit). You can get a little higher 5-year CD rate at a few credit unions and small banks, but the Barclays CD has the nice feature of a small early withdrawal penalty of 90 days of interest.
